It’s friday, friday… no, it’s Friday and we all know what that means, that we have another installment of AEW Rampage upon us! Today Excalibur, Taz and Ricky Starks welcome us to the commentary booth.

1. Match
Singles Match
Darby Allin (w/ Sting) defeated Marq Quen (w/ Isiah Kassidy) via submission in the Fujiwara armbar.
Match time: 11:55
– Isiah Kassidy intervened several times in the match and also prevented the coffin drop once. Sting finally had enough and cleared Kassidy out of the way.
– After said action, Quen missed Allin, who was lying on the ground outside the ring, with a 450° splash, which was not enough for a countout win and also not for the pinfall.

After Allin’s win, the rest of the Andrade Family Office makes their way into the arena and approaches the ring. Before they can do any damage, however, the Hardy’s theme begins to play out. The reunited brothers stare down the entrance ramp with the AFO, but also with Sting and Allin, albeit in a respectful manner.

American Top Team’s Dan Lambert doesn’t think much of Wardlow’s story. He had already seen this in a similar story between Larry Zbyszko and Bruno Sammartino. Next Wednesday, “All Ego” Ethan Page explains, Scorpio Sky will defend the TNT Championship and his Undefeated Streak, which has now officially lasted more than a year. Wardlow better get used to the fact that Scorpio Sky is the “Face of TNT,” proclaims the newly crowned TNT Champion.

After a commercial break, we hear about the House of Black. In a recorded vignette, Malakai Black speaks of someone having received their last rites and the next rites are already being written. This is aimed at someone who, according to Black, thought he had washed all the poison out of his heart, but the house will darken his eyes again. Brody King compares the house to sharks that have picked up the trail of fresh blood. For them, the feeling of violence is like an addiction. The house knows the darkest secrets, now adds Buddy Matthews. And that, according to Matthews, means the house knows the truth.

2. Match
Singles Match
Jamie Hayter (w/ Dr. Britt Baker, DMD & Rebel) defeated Mercedes Martinez via pinfall after a lariat.
Match time: 09:42
Unsurprisingly, Britt Baker attacked the turnbuckle Martinez with multiple punches at a convenient moment, allowing Hayter to finish.

Of course, the trio aren’t done with Martinez yet – are they? Before Hayter can even think about attacking her defeated opponent anymore, Thunder Rosa suddenly bursts into the ring and drives Baker and her entourage off with a chair. The trio has no choice but to retire… for now.

Hikaru Shida announces in a small video clip that she missed Serena Deeb very much! Most importantly, she hasn’t forgotten what she did to her, either in the hospital or in rehab. But her act of revenge is not enough for Shida. At their next encounter, Serena’s head will roll, the returnee announces, bloodthirsty as ever.

3. Match
Singles Match
Keith Lee defeated QT Marshall via pinfall after the Big Bang disaster.
Match time: 04:05
– Again, the crowd was allowed to see an impressive throw, which threw Marshall through the ring in a high arc.

The Factory’s Aaron Solo puts Keith Lee in a sleeper hold right after the ring bell rang, but is quickly chipped away. Nick Comoroto, who rushes to his aid, can’t defend himself against Lee either and is sent to the mat with an elevated powerbomb. Solo is sent out at his fellow combatants with another big throw from the ring. Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs have seen enough. The two of them attack Lee and at first it seems like Lee can prevail again, but then Hobbs hits him with a crashing spinebuster and wrestles him to the ground. Hobbs’ theme begins playing and he poses in the ring with Starks.

Tony Nese explains in an interview with Mark Henry that he really wanted to play against Swerve Strickland because he gets all the attention, even though Nese is a great performer – in 2022 Nese is still undefeated. In addition, this is not a rap show, but a wrestling show. However, Swerve remains completely relaxed. After all, the two have shared some history, Swerve explains, including defeats for Nese on Fridays. Swerve don’t just be a rapper, don’t be a mogul and it’s… whose house? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” shouts the crowd in unison. IT’S TIME FOR THE MAIN EVENT!

But before the last match of the evening we will get an update on Dynamite next Wednesday:

Tag Team Match
Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley (w/ William Regal) vs. Best Friends (Wheeler Yuta & Chuck Taylor) (w/ Orange Cassidy & Danhausen)

Six-Man Tag Team Match
Adam Page & Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus) vs. Adam Cole & reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly)

AEW Women’s World Championship
Steel Cage Match

TNT Championship
Singles Match
Wardlow vs. Scorpio Sky (w/ Dan Lambert)

4. Match
Singles Match
Swerve Strickland beat Tony Nese via a pinfall after the Swerve Stomp.
Match time: 12:58

Swerve lets the crowd celebrate after his successful debut. So this edition of AEW Rampage comes to an end.
