The Lexus NX SUV, which is a hot seller in Taiwan’s luxury car market, arrived in Hong Kong last month with a large number of new cars, making the number of deliveries in February as high as 1,442 units. However, due to the global sales of Lexus NX and the limited supply of vehicles due to the shortage of chips, the Japanese local government announced that it would stop accepting orders as early as July last year, and it has not slowed down until recently.
Japan’s Lexus Motors announced that NX will resume local orders from March 1, and will then improve the details to strengthen the competitiveness of Lexus NX products. These include improving the driving feedback of the vehicle. By increasing the body rigidity and fine-tuning the suspension, Lexus NX has better steering stability and ride comfort. Not only that, but even the interior details, driving safety assistance system, etc. have been adjusted in this facelift.
In terms of driving experience, the original Lexus factory in Japan has strengthened the rigidity of the front and rear of the NX, with improved suspension springs, shock absorbers and EPS electric power steering system, etc., to further enhance the driving style of the Lexus brand. In addition, the Japanese standard Lexus NX350 model also modifies the original control characteristics of the engine and transmission system, so as to improve the abrupt feeling when the vehicle starts, and effectively make the driving performance better.
Although the cabin layout of the Japanese Lexus NX maintains the current design, the original Japanese factory has also improved the interior texture through detailed adjustments, such as the co-pilot’s inner door, glove box, side of the middle ship, etc., all adopt the same color theme as the selected one. The color (excluding the black interior and F SPORT exclusive black) makes the cockpit of the Japanese standard Lexus NX more luxurious and advanced.
Regarding the Lexus Safety System+ active safety protection system, the Japanese Lexus NX is improved for collision prevention in this facelift. In addition to the original detection of vehicles, pedestrians, and riders in front, the system can now also identify structures such as walls. Corresponds to a wider range of scenarios to avoid damage from low-speed collisions. As for the PDA predictive active driving assistance system, it can now be adjusted appropriately according to the current situation of the driver.
Part of the improved Japanese-spec Lexus NX is now on sale in Japan, and orders will resume immediately.
