Singer, pianist and composer Elton John has been released from hospital following a fall in his villa in Nice, France, on Sunday night.

A representative for Elton John said in a statement: “We can confirm that following he fell ill at his home in the south of France, Elton visited the local hospital as a precaution, and following tests, he was immediately discharged this morning and is now home and well.”
