During an interview granted to CNBC, Brad Smith, president of Microsoft, confides that the various licenses of Activision Blizzard could in the future be exported to Switch, in particular Call of Duty.

After the takeover of the company by Microsoftwhich will however only be effective in 2023, we can already see that the computer giant trying to get things moving internally. In an interview given on Wednesday to CNBC by Brad Smith, President of Microsoft, he confides that he would like to see the license Call of Duty s’exporter sur Switch.
During this interview, Brad Smith was asked whether the company’s various titles (World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, Overwatch, etc.) would continue to be available on PlayStation. As confirmed in the past by Microsoft, yes, these licenses will remain availablebut Smith also confides an interesting detail. Apparently, Microsoft intends to bring the Call of Duty license to Nintendo in the future, so to Switch.
We would like to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo devices. We would like to bring the other popular Activision Blizzard titles, and ensure that they continue to be available on PlayStation, and that they become available on Nintendo.
However, with the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 remake due to arrive this yearwe can doubt the availability of the latter on Switch, given that the redemption will not yet be fully implemented. There is therefore a greater chance that if it has to be done, the first Call of Duty to come to Switch will be released in 2023. Knowing, however, the will of Nintendo to provide content family friendlynothing can be said yet.
