According to the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, the new tourism system offers innovative ways to invest in the regions of the Kingdom, which contributes to attracting business, as the new system includes flexible legislation and procedures to attract quality investments.
The ministry said in a tweet on its Twitter site, that the most prominent content of the system with regard to investors and operators in the tourism sector is the amendment of the term “tourist accommodation facilities” to “hospitality facilities,” which reflects the reality of Saudi hospitality, as well as setting up a mechanism to ensure the protection of tourist destinations and tourism components in coordination with the authorities. It creates licenses and permits for new tourism activities to enable creativity and innovation in the field of tourism investment, as well as providing new sites for their development as tourist destinations that attract investment.
The new tourism system also guarantees the quality of services provided to tourists and visitors and the protection of their rights, and gives the optimum tourist experience, so that the Kingdom becomes a global tourist destination, while contributing to providing solutions and facilities to achieve the objectives of the national tourism strategy.
