Al-Marsad newspaper: Two pictures circulating on social media during the past two days of a Suhoor bill in a restaurant in the Fifth Settlement have sparked widespread controversy in Egypt, due to their high price.

The price of the suhoor meal in one of the bills circulated was more than 16 thousand pounds (more than 800 dollars), although the meal contains popular types of Egyptian food, including beans, falafel, eggs, potatoes and cheese.

He also circulated a copy of a Suhoor bill in another restaurant, whose price amounted to more than 4 thousand pounds, where the bill showed the cost of suhoor beans, falafel, eggs, potatoes, cheese, grapes, sobia and mineral water for six people, which amounted to 4243.68 pounds.

For his part, Mahmoud El-Badri, nicknamed “the richest young man in Egypt”, who works in the field of electronic marketing, revealed the reason for the rise in the suhoor meal, which amounted to 16 thousand pounds, saying: “Suhoor is normal and there is nothing special, and the number is huge because it is suhoor for 13 individuals, and each individual Pay 1200 pounds.

As for the ingredients of the suhoor, Mahmoud Al-Badri said, according to the Masrawy website: “It consists of beans, ta’mia, yogurt, tea and coffee, and the price of a cup of tea reached 50 pounds.”
