Starting this weekend, the City Police incorporates more than 700 employees, 260 patrol carsmotorcycles and the collaboration of 1,000 prevention agents within the framework of the redeployment in the Northern Corridor of the Federal Capital. The objective is to reinforce the fight against crime and insecurity in the areas with the greatest influx.
According to the agency THATCivilian personnel will also be incorporated into the Buenos Aires police stations to send a greater number of uniformed personnel to the streets of the City. Soria also highlighted the incorporation of 181 patrol cars and 79 trucks and announced that during the coming weeks key works will be completed in different police stations, which will increase the number of detainees. In turn, a new Urban Monitoring Center will be located in Comuna 8 next to a fire department.
“The decision to reinforce the northern corridor with the redeployment of police in communes 2, 12, 13 and 14 is a consequence of the data provided daily by the Crime Map and is closely related to the seasonal crowding of people that uses public space and parks more from this time of year,” the authorities explained.
In total, the deployment has:
- Further 700 new police officers on the street throughout the northern corridor of the City.
