After the “death boat” incident… the Lebanese army stopped a group that tried to smuggle 85 people by sea in Tripoli

The Army Command – Orientation Directorate announced, in a statement, that “on 28/4/2022, a patrol of the Intelligence Directorate in Tripoli stopped the citizens: (K.kh), (A.T), (M.N), (F.A. And (KH), while they were preparing to smuggle regarding 85 people across the sea illegally, using a boat they had purchased, prepared and maintained using a sum of money they had collected from these people (approximately $400,000). The boat was seized in the port of one of the tourist resorts And investigations with the detainees were launched under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
