Al-Marsad newspaper – Agencies: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday that Moscow is still committed to the disarmament of Ukraine, and that there should be a list of specific weapons that cannot be deployed on Ukrainian soil.
“It is necessary to identify certain types of offensive weapons that will never be deployed in Ukraine and will not be manufactured,” Lavrov added.
Lavrov added that Russia recognized President Volodymyr Zelensky as Ukraine’s president, and welcomed Zelensky’s desire for security guarantees, describing it as a “positive step.”
“Our negotiators are ready for a second round of talks to discuss these guarantees with representatives of Ukraine,” he continued.
