In the Hollabrunn district, a severe storm broke out again on Friday afternoon. The market town of Wullersdorf and Aspersdorf, which belongs to the city of Hollabrunn, were hit for the second time within 48 hours, the fire brigade reported. City entrances have become rivers again, streets were up to 30 centimeters under water.
According to FF Wullersdorf, 50 millimeters of precipitation were recorded within 30 minutes. After the heavy rains on Wednesday, the ground was still saturated and was therefore only able to absorb a little water. Numerous gardens and cellars were flooded. In addition to pumping out work that had to be carried out, 700 sandbags were also filled to protect houses and divert water to the streets. The operation lasted several hours.
