[이데일리 정시내 기자] Ahn Hyun-soo (Russian name: Victor Ahn), who served as a technical coach for the Chinese short track team, apologized to the Chinese for labeling Taiwan as the country on the website of a cosmetics company run by his wife.

On the 14th, Ahn Hyun-soo said on Weibo, a Chinese social media site, “There was an error in the default settings due to my family’s negligence in managing the Internet site.”
He continued, “I have hurt you all, and I am really sorry.
Finally, he said, “I and my family consistently support the ‘one China’ principle.”

Ahn Hyun-soo apologized for listing Taiwan along with other countries in the category of selecting nationality when registering as a foreign member on the website of a cosmetics company run by his wife Unari.
The ‘one China’ principle means that China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong are indivisible and that the People’s Republic of China is the only legitimate government.
Ahn Hyun-soo, who received a love call from China and joined the Chinese national team led by coach Kim Seon-tae in 2020, is reported to have returned to Korea after his contract with China expired last month.
