AI supports radiologists in detecting tumors
In recent years, the amount of work radiologists have to do has multiplied: on average, physicians only have 2.1 seconds to look at an image. This is where the artificial intelligence comes from Floy in Spiel: “In a hurry, radiologists focus on the patient’s main findings and recognize them with high quality. Critical abnormalities on the edge of focus can easily go undetected. Our AI highlights these abnormalities for the radiologist and thus prevents errors. In short, radiologists with AI are more reliable than radiologists without AI,” said Benedikt Schneider, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Floy.
This is how the AI works
The artificial intelligence recognizes and marks abnormalities in the study. By the Learning from millions of data sets and radiological experiences Floy’s AI reduces the risk of missing tumors or other important abnormalities. Prof. Dr. medical Thomas Henzler (Professor of Radiology and Chief Medical Officer of RH – Diagnostics and Therapy) says: “Even for the most experienced radiologists, some lesions are invisible. Floy has been supporting us very successfully for over a year sustainable optimization of our diagnostic quality.“
