In the Belgorod district of the Belgorod region, an air defense system shot down a drone on approach to the city, reports October 12, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. It was an aircraft-type UAV.
In his Telegram channel, Gladkov clarified that as a result of falling debris, a private residential building caught fire.
“There are two victims: a man and a woman. They are taken by ambulance to City Hospital No. 2 in Belgorod,” Gladkov wrote.
Two more people may be trapped under the rubble. Emergency services are on site.
Let us recall that on October 10, two people were killed as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the village of Popovka in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district of the same Belgorod region. The shell hit a residential building. An elderly man died on the spot from shrapnel injuries, his wife died in an ambulance on the way to Belgorod.
