The air traffic in the country could suffer delays from tomorrow and until Thursdaysince the controllers and other professionals announced that they will resume union measures consistent in the suspension of commercial flight authorizationscargo and general aviation throughout the national territory, demanding security measures and staffing.
Spokespersons for the Association of Technicians and Employees for the Protection and Safety of Air Navigation (ATEPSA) warned that the measure will not affect flights related to the emergency for which fires in Corrientes nor those of a sanitary nature.

Last week Aerolineas Argentinas had to reschedule 101 flights.
According to the union, the schedule of measures “was communicated in advance to the commercial airlines and the entities involved in the activity so that they can reschedule its services without affecting passengers“.

Jonatan Doino, secretary general of ATEPSA pointed out that “despite having attended each and every one of the meetings convened by the Ministry of Labor these days with the Argentine Air Navigation Company (EANA) to find solutions, they have not yet brought not a single proposal linked to the claims that concern the operational safety and the crew that we have been claiming for several years”.
“We are willing to reach an agreement, but it must necessarily contemplate responses to the professionals who work in the activity,” he added.

The schedule of measures includes the suspension of takeoff authorizations this Tuesday February 22 and Wednesday 23 from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 17:00 to 19:00 and on Thursday 24 all flights from 17:00 to 19:00.
