Al-Ahly will host its South African counterpart Sun Downs, in the third round of the group stage of the African Champions League, at Cairo International Stadium, at exactly nine o’clock in the evening, Saturday, for the fourth time in the competition.

Al-Ahly, led by South African Pitso Mosimane, seeks to continue to dominate against the Sun Downs team, in the eleventh meeting between them in the continental competition, where the players of the Red Castle managed to win against them in five matches and the two teams tied in four matches, while the latter won a meeting.

The Red Castle players enter the match, under the slogan “There is no alternative to winning” in order to impose control early on the group and return to the competition, especially since Al-Ahly played only one meeting against Al Hilal in the second round, while its first meeting was postponed in the same role against the Sudanese Mars. For his participation in the Club World Cup recently.

In his last training, Musimani was keen to hold sessions with the team players in order to see some technical details of the meeting, in order to address the offensive side of Sun Downs, as the match will witness the return of the main players to the match, after resting some of them in front of the clearing in the last confrontation in the local league, the likes of Muhammad Abdel Moneim and Ali Maaloul.

During his conversation with the players, Mosimane stressed the importance of the three points, during the difficult match, in order to compete for the top spot in the group standings early, after Al-Marikh won against Al-Hilal and became equal with Sun Downs with 4 points each, so they held a special session among themselves, to motivate Themselves to do more in this encounter.

On the other hand, Sun Downs is looking, in front of his former coach, to win the match, especially since he has been in Egypt for a long time to enjoy the atmosphere of Egypt and get enough rest before the meeting, as the team did not return to their country after the last Mars match.
