Libya – Journalist Abdullah Al-Kabeer commented on the American position in recent months and its movements, considering that the past years witnessed a decline in the American administration’s interest in the Middle East in general, and the voids left by America in which Russia and China expanded, and as a superpower there is now a Western awakening in general American, British and German that these voids left by America were expanded into by Russia.
Al-Kabeer said in a statement to the “Al-Asima” program, which is broadcast on “February” channel on Monday and was followed by Al-Marsad newspaper: These countries view the African continent as a promising continent in terms of manpower, natural resources, rivers and fertile lands, and there is Chinese, Russian and Turkish activity in this continent.
He continued: “We are now seeing an American return due to the development of the conflict in Ukraine to the Middle East, and the consolidation of relations with allies, such as the Gulf states, Egypt and Turkey, and now America is seeking to curtail the Russian presence in Libya through Wagner so that Russia will lose an important position. The human rights violations that they now accuse Wagner of have been committed by Haftar and his forces over the past years, and we have not seen an American move.”
And he believed that it was clear that Abdullah Batili, the UN envoy, accepted the Thirteenth Amendment despite the constitutional violations and objections to it and accepted the Committee of 6 submitted by the House of Representatives, which means that there is an American push behind accepting any solution, even with these abuses, and disregarding the legal foundations for Election law out.
And I believe that Batelli’s position is the same as that of America, regardless of the Libyan position with regard to the military and dual nationals, adding: “Bateli believes that allowing them to run, accepting Haftar to participate and sending those close to him to a meeting of the Military Committee. The elections will be stumbling, and there will be strong objections to it. Even if the Committee of 6 meets and reaches consensus allowing the military and dual nationals to run, we do not guarantee that the Libyan street will accept these elections.”
He also pointed out that the 6 + 6 committee will meet and start consultations, ruling out that it will be able to reach a real consensus. Therefore, the issue of the committee that will be formed by Batelli is still standing, and it is still standing, even if the committee came out with some consensus and allowed dual nationals and the military, because there are several parties that will object, and therefore it must be There will be a committee that includes the intercepted spectrum with the corresponding one to complete the final compatibility process.
