President Alberto Fernández arrived in India to participate in its last G20 Summit, an occasion in which it will also hold bilateral meetings.

After having departed from the Ezeiza international airport in the early hours of Thursday, the president was received at the Palam military airport by the Argentine ambassador to India, Hugo Gobbi; by the local Rural Development and Steel Minister, Shri Faggansingh Kulaste; and the co-secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Indian Foreign Ministry, Muanpuii Saiawi.

The head of state will intervene in plenary sessions I and II that will take place on Saturday after the welcoming ceremony for leaders and heads of official delegations by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, at the Bharat Mandapam, International Exhibition and Convention Center (IECC).

Furthermore, during the first day of activities the Argentine head of state will hold bilateral meetings with the presidents of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol; and of Arab Emirates United States, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and with the prime minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina.

The official delegation is made up of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, Santiago Cafiero; the Secretary General of the Presidency, Julio Vitobello; the spokesperson for the presidency, Gabriela Cerrutiand the ambassador of Argentina to the United States and Sherpa of the G20, Jorge Argüello.
