Alex Albon (Williams F1) was disqualified from the F1 Australian Grand Prix qualifying results because the team was unable to submit sufficient fuel samples from the FW44 to the FIA (International Automobile Federation).
Alex Albon was 16th in the F1 Australian Grand Prix qualifying. However, he stopped on the course after qualifying Q1. He pushed the car back into the pits, during which time Q2’s start was delayed.
Williams was unable to submit to the FIA the required 1 liter fuel sample specified in Section 6.5.2 of the F1 Technical Regulations from the Alex Albon machine.
As a result, Steward disqualified Alexander Albon from the qualifying results. However, Albon is allowed to start in the final on Sunday.
