20th Century Games and Survios studio have announced a new game for the Aliens franchise. It will be a horror game on PC and consoles, playable in particular in VR.

The games of the franchise Alien are numerous and quite different from each other. 20th Century Games just announced a new game, soberly baptized Aliens (as the second film in the franchise), developed by Survios.

A new Aliens game in VR under Unreal Engine 5

After having developed the video game adaptation of Creed, Creed: Rise to Glory, but also the VR game The Walking Dead Onslaught adapted from the famous television series, Survios is tackling a monument of cinema: Alien. Survios is indeed developing a game called Aliens. Little is known about the title yet. On its official website, Survios indicates that it will be an immersive horror and action game, developed under Unreal Engine 5.

A personal vendetta against the Xenomorphs

Aliens will feature an original storyline, set between the franchise’s first two films, Alien and Aliens. It will be a game purely solowith a climax on immersion in horror. This is notably why the game will offer virtual reality, taking advantage of the studio’s expertise in this domain. On the story side, we know that you should play a battle-hardened veteran, who has a personal tooth for creatures aliens of the saga. He therefore embarks on a vendetta against the xenomorphswho are obviously not going to let it go!

We’ll know more about the title in a few days, during the San Diego Comic-Con on the occasion of the event “Alien: Expanding a Dark and Frightening Universe”, on July 21. Aliens will be released on PC and consoles, and in VR at an unknown date.
