Alina Kabaeva Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva got into trouble in the United States. We had to act quickly.

After performing on the carpet, gymnast Anna Vakulenko Alina Kabaeva shared a story from her own experience. The 40-year-old athlete recalled how a terrible thing happened to her at the Goodwill Games in New York in 1998 – right before entering the carpet, her mace broke. Alina then experienced wild stress, but was able to pull herself together. Kabaeva rushed to her rivals in search of another projectile. The beautiful brunette was saved from failure by the German gymnast Edita Schaufler. A girl from Germany lent her maces to a Russian woman.
“It’s good that Edita Schaufler was from Germany. I say: “Give me clubs, I don’t have!”. She says, “Take it.” And I went and did it, ”Kabaeva shared.
The Olympic champion believes that one of the main qualities of a strong gymnast is the ability to remain calm during unforeseen situations. Force majeure often occurs at competitions – the performance may be delayed or the music may not turn on. An athlete in any situation must remain cool, and perform the tasks assigned to him as best as possible.
