A woman and her partner were apprehended by officials of the Municipal Police of Baruta, following the alleged mistreatment of a three-year-old boy in the Las Minitas sector (Miranda state).
According to the official report and what was published by the Diario 2001, it is the mother (24 years old) and the stepfather (21).
Apparently, the child’s father had alerted the authorities of the attack and the police officers went to the house where the couple lived with the child.
It was found that the infant has injuries to the ears and buttocks, and burns to his private parts. The mother and stepfather were arrested and placed at the order of the Public Ministry.
