Scuderia AlphaTauri started the engine of the 2023 F1 machine “AT04” for the first time. The sound of the F1 engine under the name of Honda RBPT has been released.
The F1 engine manufactured by Honda and operated by Red Bull Powertrains (RBPT) will be registered as Honda RBPT in 2023 and will be installed by Scuderia AlphaTauri and Red Bull Racing.

Scuderia AlphaTauri released a video on social media. Fire up the Honda RBPT engine installed in the 2023 F1 machine “AT04”. The video also shows staff wearing Honda uniforms participating.
Scuderia AlphaTauri’s focus for 2023 is to make a significant improvement from last year. In 2022 the team fell to 9th place in the Constructors’ Championship. Williams was the only one behind.
This year, Nick De replaces Pierre Gasly, who has moved to the Alpine F1 team. Freese joins and forms a team with Yuki Tsunoda.
Scuderia AlphaTauri announced the coloring of the 2023 F1 machine “AT04” in New York on February 11th. The actual car will be on the track at the pre-season test in Bahrain from February 23rd to 25th.
By then, Scuderia AlphaTauri’s F1 drivers are already in action. Yuki Tsunoda and Nick de Vries will be in last year’s machine for next weekend’s Pirelli tire test.
