Gaziantep/Idlib – The number of people killed by the earthquake in Turkey has risen to 40,642, Afad Disaster Management Agency head Yunus Sezer said on Saturday, according to state-run Anadolu Agency. In Syria, around 5,900 deaths have been counted in connection with the devastating earthquakes. However, their number is only updated irregularly. In total, more than 46,000 people lost their lives in both countries.
