The fire started in an apartment. The Altenmarkt Flachau, Bischofshofen and Radstadt fire departments are currently still in action.
One person was seriously injured in a fire in the Pongau community of Altenmarkt on Tuesday followingnoon. She was taken to Schwarzach Hospital in an emergency vehicle. She is now stable. This was announced by the Red Cross. According to initial information from the fire department, an apartment on the first floor above a lift ticket office on the market square caught fire. Emergency services from the Altenmarkt, Flachau, Bischofshofen and Radstadt fire departments are currently still on duty and are fighting the fire from outside. Due to the strong smoke and heat development, it is not yet possible to extinguish the fire from the inside.
