AM working group VDMA becomes conceptual sponsor of Rapid.Tech 3D

The Additive Manufacturing working group of the VDMA will be the conceptual sponsor of Rapid.Tech 3D, the AM event in Erfurt, from next year. The overarching goal is to further accelerate the industrialization of AM by paying extra attention to the theme of education and training of AM professionals.

The VDMA’s Additive Manufacturing Working Group comprises some 200 companies, representing the entire additive manufacturing value chain. “An essential factor to increase the potential of this key technology is the professional qualification. In addition to training, we currently see a great need for experienced engineers,” says Markus Heering, director of the VDMA Additive Manufacturing working group. That is why the working group is already participating this year to show what is on offer in the field of further training.

20th edition of Rapid.Tech 3D in 2024

The start of the conceptual sponsorship of VDMA Additive Manufacturing 2024 coincides with the twentieth year of Rapid.Tech 3D. “This ennobles the anniversary. The collaboration gives us even more expertise and support in the substantive design of the conference programme. As industrial additive manufacturing continues to advance, its application areas are expanding. The AM working group of the VDMA is an important partner and source of inspiration for determining the right topics,” says Michael Kynast, Managing Director of Messe Erfurt GmbH.

Rapid.Tech has developed into a high-quality AM event in Europe, mainly because of the high-quality and broad congress. This year Rapid.Tech 3D will take place from 9 to 11 May in Erfurt. Keynote lectures are given by Ferrari and Shell, among others.
