General election without opposition candidates has started in Cuba – America

Havana – A parliamentary election has begun in Cuba, which is badly hit economically. This took place without opposition candidates – 470 candidates, who had been approved by state commissions, stood for 470 seats. Only the Communist Party is allowed in Cuba. Around eight million eligible voters were called on Sunday to confirm the candidates for five-year terms in the National Assembly.
