Ilestedt was one of the big Swedish stars who took part and took bronze during the football World Cup last summer.
Her club, Arsenal, signs its website that Ilestedt will continue with lighter training and have close contact with the team’s medical team, but that she will be out of action until following the birth.
“Amanda is doing well and we are supporting her during this new and exciting journey,” writes the club.
For Sweden, this means that they have to do without Ilestedt in the EC qualifiers, which start in early April. Sweden is pitted there once morest France, England and Ireland.
