Defendant was tactfully overcoming a wound in his hand while killing Vineeta. Meanwhile, the four-and-a-half sovereign gold necklace stolen from Vineeta was recovered after it was found pawned near the old shop in Neyyattinkara. He has been in police custody since Thondi.
