AMD expects its $ 35 billion acquisition of Xilinx to conclude in the first quarter of 2022

December 30, 2021 – AMD and Xilinx, Inc. released the following statement regarding the status of global regulatory approvals for AMD’s proposed acquisition of Xilinx.

“We continue to make significant progress in obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals to close our deal. While we previously expected to receive all permits by the end of 2021, we have not yet completed this process and now expect the transaction to close in the first quarter of 2022. Our negotiations with regulators continue to be productive and we look forward to receiving all the necessary approvals. ”

There are no further changes to the previously announced terms or plans for the deal, and the companies continue to look forward to the proposed combination, creating the industry leader in high performance and adaptive computing.
