Aminata Touré: in Senegal, “no one can serve more than two consecutive terms”

In Senegal, it is official: Aminata Touré sent a letter to the President of the National Assembly to “inform” him of her decision to be a non-registered deputy from now on. The former prime minister, who headed the Benno Bokk Yaakaar majority list in the July legislative elections, broke with President Macky Sall following being removed from the perch. Debate on a possible third candidacy for the Head of State in 2024, possible amnesty for opponents Karim Wade and Khalifa Sall, his prospects for the future, Aminata Touré, nicknamed “Mimi” Touré, is the guest of Charlotte Idrac.
