An 11-year-old girl who left her home after celebrating the New Year was found sexually abused and murdered with ten stab wounds to the neck in an open field in the San Juan town of Media Agua, and by the femicide They arrested one of the victim’s cousins, judicial sources indicated this Sunday.
The victim was identified as Yoselín Ailén Rodríguez, who lived together with his family in a vulnerable area of five homes located in said head town of the Department of Sarmiento, one 60 kilometers south of the capital of the province of San Juan.
Judicial sources indicated that the girl’s body was found around noon this Saturday by one of her cousins in a vacant area, located on Quiroga Street and Route 40, about 100 meters from her home.
The minor showed signs of sexual abuse and several stab wounds, while about 50 meters from the body a knife was found buried in the grasslands that is believed to be the murder weapon.
According to what the investigators, led by the prosecutor Iván Grassi, in charge of the Special Crimes Investigation Unit, were able to reconstruct, it all began after the New Year’s celebration when the girl went to sleep at the house of one of her cousins.
In the morning, other cousins went to look for Yoselín at her house, but her father told them that he had gone to sleep with her brother – the youngest’s uncle – but when they got to the house she was gone. After several hours of searching, the girl was found murdered, sources said.
Through witness testimonies, two women – also relatives of the minor – saw one of their cousins, identified as 24-year-old Juan Carlos Rodríguez, around 7 in the morning, walking nervously and with dirt on his clothes. For this reason, the prosecutor Grassi requested an emergency search of the homes in the area and the arrest of Rodríguez.
As a result of one of the procedures, in an address located 800 meters from the scene of the crime, they found a backpack with bloody clothes, owned by the young man.
“We believe that after the event, she went to the house of one of her cousins, where she lived for a few days. There he bathed and took off his clothes, ”said an investigator.
According to the investigation consulted, the defendant, in turn, “observed the entire search procedure” for the minor.
According to what could be established, the young detainee had returned to San Juan a few months ago from the province of Buenos Aires, where he had gone to perform “some trades.” Investigators believe that he entered the house where the minor slept, picked her up and covered her mouth until he took her to the place where he finally sexually abused her and murdered her.
“In principle we believe that he acted alone,” said an investigation consulted. He will be charged with the crime of aggravated homicide through gender violence, treachery and criminality.
Judicial sources confirmed that the autopsy established that the minor was abused and killed by ten stab wounds to the neck.
