Robots play a major role in digital transformation in many sectors in the industry, as many factories and warehouses are employing a large number of robots to accomplish some work. However, a problem arose among the many robots or drones that had to do collaborative work, and that was the ineffectiveness of their communication. In this case, factory owners, especially those who produce precision products such as electronic chips, want robots to collaborate more quickly, powerfully, and efficiently than humans without communication, because not all robots or drones have the tools to do so. Or the signal between them may be subject to interference, which makes it impossible for them to communicate with each other. A new reinforcement-learning algorithm that inspires team spirit among robots has been developed by a team of researchers at the University of Illinois Grainger School of Engineering in New York City.
