Al-Marsad Newspaper: Social media pioneers circulated a video clip of an Omani fan who swears to God that he will divorce his wife, Umm Haider, if Saudi Arabia loses.
And the Omani fan said during the video before Saudi Arabia’s match with Mexico: “By God, who there is no god but Him, if Saudi Arabia won today, I would divorce Umm Haider with three.”
The clip sparked a state of controversy, astonishment and condemnation among the pioneers of social networking sites.
It is noteworthy that the Mexico national team defeated Saudi Arabia with two goals to one, and the national team was eliminated from the World Cup in Qatar.
