Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that the minister announced, at the beginning of the meeting, the approval and activation of the fund’s work through the organizational structure approved by the Central Agency for Organization and Administration, in addition to approving the fund’s financial and administrative regulations, which are approved by the Special Regulations Committee formed by the decision of the Minister of Finance. .
The official spokesman stated that the minister directed during the meeting to study the provision of additional benefits to the families of the martyrs and the injured from the medical teams members of the fund, and also directed that 25% of the fund’s employees be from the families of deceased cases from the medical teams subject to the provisions of the fund, pointing out his keenness to consolidate ways of cooperation. Establishment of the Medical Professions Risk Fund
Abdul Ghaffar indicated that the Medical Professions Risk Fund was established under Law 184 of 2020 issued by a republican decree, out of concern for the state to support medical personnel, and in appreciation of their efforts and sacrifices to serve and protect the country, as well as granting benefits for cases of death or injury that result.
