The Anaheim Ducks announced Friday that they have traded defenseman Tristan Luneau to the AHL with the San Diego Gulls.

Luneau has only taken part in two games since the start of the season and has not collected any points.

The Ducks also traded goaltender Alex Stalock to the American League.

The Californian team has a record of six wins and four losses and has won their last five games.

Luneau fined

Ducks head coach Greg Cronin was also fined $25,000 for his “unprofessional conduct toward referees.”

Cronin was ejected from Monday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins after his comments following a disallowed goaltender interference goal. The Ducks still won 4-3 thanks to a last-minute goal from Mason McTavish.

Cronin is playing his first NHL season at the helm of a team. His team has a record of 6-4-0.

Johnson also in the AHL

The Columbus Blue Jackets, for their part, sold forward Kent Johnson to the American League. They also recalled striker Yegor Chinakhov.

Johnson, 21, was limited to one goal and two assists in eight games this season. In 2022-2023, his first full NHL campaign, he did well with 16 goals and 40 points in 79 games.

Chinakhov is off to a good start to the season with the Cleveland Monsters of the American League, with three goals and an assist in three games.

Last season, he shuttled between the NHL and the AHL. With the Blue Jackets, he had four goals and nine assists in 30 duels.
