ANFP and clubs condemned the use of their emblems in the Approval campaign by deputy Cariola

The ANFP and Chilean soccer clubs expressed their disagreement with the use of their emblems in the campaign of the I approve, In an image posted by deputy Karol Cariola on her social networks.

“We condemn the manipulation that deputy Cariola tries to generate in soccer fans for non-sports purposes“, he added in a statement.

“The ANFP states that football is not a space to carry out political campaigns and recalls that FIFA, in article 4 of its statutes, declares itself ‘neutral in matters of politics and religion,'” he concluded.

Universidad Católica, for its part, expressed on its social networks: “We are a representative institution of all those who love La Franja. We respect all positions and diversity. Therefore, we do not accept that our image is used without authorization to represent any position regarding the Constitutional Plebiscite.”

In addition, he signed on behalf of the casts: Cobreloa, Colo Colo, Curicó Unido, Ñublense, Palestino, Santiago Wanderers, Unión Española, U. Católica and Universidad de Chile.
