Anger at driving manoeuvres: Rabiater car driver brushed motorcycle

It was a little carelessness that had unforeseen consequences: A 26-year-old motorcyclist, who was riding with his girlfriend (27) on the pillion in the municipality of Pichlwang (Vöcklabruck district), had mistakenly made the right turn at the local roundabout Lanes for turning in the direction of Vöcklamarkt. But because he wanted to continue to Seewalchen, he changed to the left shortly before the exit. This maneuver may not have been right at all for a car driver driving behind him, who was also turning towards Seewalchen: He drove just behind the motorcycle and honked the horn continuously.

Overtaken despite the barrier line

The biker wanted the car to overtake, but the car continued to follow him, honking its horn. Only shortly after the town of Pichlwang did the driver start to overtake despite the ban on overtaking and closed lines and drove so close to the motorcycle that the car brushed against the biker’s girlfriend on the thigh and the handlebar itself. The clutch lever broke off. The 26-year-old was only able to bring his motorcycle to a standstill without falling.

Missed driver investigated

The driver of the car simply continued to drive despite damage to his own vehicle. The police were later able to investigate the rabid driver, who was a 70-year-old from the Vöcklabruck district. The motorcyclist went to the Vöcklabruck clinic for treatment, his girlfriend was unharmed.
