Announcement of closure of educational institutions for 3 days due to rains – Pakistan

The district administration has announced closure of educational institutions in Lower Chitral from April 15 to April 17.

The district administration says that educational institutions have been closed in view of the fear of landslides and floods.

According to the notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral, the District Education Officer (Male) Lower Chitral has proposed to close the schools through an application.

Flooding of seasonal streams due to rainwater and landslides has created problems for vehicles and pedestrians.

According to the notification, to ensure the safety of teachers and students in the current weather conditions, it has been decided to close all public and private educational institutions of Lower Chitral district for 3 days i.e. from April 15 to April 17, 2024.

It should be noted that the rain and destruction caused by it continues in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the report of the loss of life and property in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to heavy rain during the last 24 hours issued by PDMA, 4 people have died and 7 people have been injured in various accidents during the rains.

PDMA has provided relief materials to the victims of the affected districts. 200 tents were brought from the PDMA warehouse for the victims of Lower Chitral.

PDMA has also directed the concerned district administration to speed up the relief activities in the districts.
