Decidedly, lately the armed bandits no longer know where to turn in the region of Agadez.
After the blow inflicted on them near Tchirozerine on April 1 and 2, 2023, Aïr Info learned that another group was defeated yesterday April 3 near Kirboubou, 40 km from Agadez.
Indeed, during the robbery of a Toundra brand vehicle, one of the armed bandits was overpowered by the brave passengers who had realized that his weapon had stalled.
His accomplices, two in number, then abandoned the stolen vehicle and fled.
A few hours later, the overpowered armed bandit and his weapon were handed over to the security forces for further investigation.
With this momentum, the determination of the security forces and the frank cooperation of the population, the Agadez region will quickly regain its former tranquility, undermined by a few lawless individuals.
The visit made to Agadez today, April 4, by the Minister of the Interior and his defense counterpart is indicative of the commitment of the highest authorities in the country to sign the end of this urban and peri-urban insecurity.
