That says Thomas Duschlbauer from the state crisis communication. As reported, a gas explosion occurred in Ansfelden on Tuesday night after deep drilling. Four teams with emergency services from the fire brigade and the Upper Austrian network inspect each house with the residents. It is necessary to examine all corners meticulously. Duschlbauer explained that the gas could have found its way to attics through paneling, for example, and the buildings had to be well ventilated.
After this procedure, which takes about 20 to 30 minutes per house, the residents should be allowed to return – provided the measurements are positive as expected. Expect inspections to be completed by late afternoon or early evening. Only the family of that house, which was badly damaged by the fire, could not return, for them a furnished alternative accommodation was found.
