| Pharmacists Syndicate: Any expired drug can be used for six months |

The Syndicate of Pharmacists Joe Salloum confirmed that the international community has lost confidence in the ruling authority and wants its aid to go to the Lebanese patient directly and to be able to buy medicine from pharmacies instead of the black market and dealers, and stressed that the share of funding for the local pharmaceutical industry must be raised because the problem is the lack of funds for support and once the portion is raised On medication, the crisis is partially resolved.
He continued in an interview with Al-Jadeed: “We receive daily as a syndicate information about the entry of a number of medicines, and another group will enter in the next two days, and this leads to a partial solution, but we want to reach a sustainable solution to the issue of medicine and hospitalization.”
Regarding the presence of expired medicines in the market, Salloum said: “Any expired medicine is stored in a good way that can be used for six months, and we regret the use of expired medicines, and the Lebanese citizen has reached a stage where he cannot find the medicine and cannot pay for it if it exists.”
