It’s today, it’s today! After so many years of waiting, the first images of Anya Taylor-Joy as Furiosa in the ‘Mad Max’ prequel finally emerged.
The wait is over. We finally have the first look at Anya Taylor-Joy as the warrior Furiosa in the film of the same name that also works as a prequel to Mad Max, as we will learn about the past of the character who enjoyed so much success when she was played by Charlize Theron.
These images emerged from the CCXP, a famous convention held in Brazil where casts, trailers and other details of upcoming blockbusters are revealed. And now that we no longer have an actors’ strike in Hollywood, anything goes!
In the images you can see the protagonist of The Menu and The Witch in an outfit that maintains all the characteristics of dieselpunk with clothes corroded by time, the weather and a lot of mechanical parts with gears and even a rusty appearance.
And as was reported some time ago, Taylor-Joy is shaved, while her entire body is painted with gold paint. And if you thought this was all, we were surprised that her left arm is completely mechanical.
This is found as part of the multiple exhibits at the convention, where we also got our first look at one of the cars that are part of the film. Of course it is a modified vehicle with huge parts and weapons.
Furiosa is expected to hit theaters around the world in May 2024, and will also feature the acting participation of Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke and Angus Sampson.
