After spending years trailing competitors in the connected home category, Apple Inc. is preparing a dramatic new push into domestic hardware and software. The company intends to capture living rooms and kitchen counters with a wave of devices built around a revamped artificial intelligence engine, marking a strategic pivot away from relying primarily on third-party accessories.
The 7-Inch Siri AI Smart Home Hub and Its Two Mounting Designs
The centerpiece of this hardware offensive is an anticipated smart home display that will compete directly with established products like Amazon’s Echo Show and the Google Nest Hub Mini. While rumors of a home-oriented device have circulated for years, recent reporting sheds light on its exact specifications and physical variants.
The device features a 7-inch square display centered on the revamped Siri AI assistant.
