Apple suppliers warn, the iPhone 13 could be scarce

The most desired phones on the market, there is no doubt, that they are the iPhone 13, in fact, they are currently the best-selling models, and have been that way for several years. And with the supply crisis, we have heard a lot of information that suggests that at some point there could be a stock break for some devices, something that has not yet occurred in a notable way, at least when we talk about mobiles. Well, now those rumors are gaining strength again, and they don’t do it precisely from Apple, but from its suppliers, who know the supply chain better than anyone and the possible problems it could face.

Problems with the iPhone 13 and its entire range

That is what the BOE is warning about now, and no, we are not talking about the State Bulletin, but about the Apple’s largest supplier of OLED displays, and therefore is the one who manufactures the screens that will mount their phones. This company would be in serious inventory problems, according to a Korean media, which could threaten the production of the iPhone 13 in the future. It seems that the Chinese company would have warned Apple that both this month and the next could have supply problemswhich in turn could affect the production of Apple phones.

But like any supply chain, the name itself says so, if a link in the chain fails, production is broken and therefore the stock is affected. And that is what would be happening, because a BOE supplier, the one that manufactures the integrated circuits for the screens, the china signature LX Semiconin turn, is having problems providing these components, which makes normal production of screens for the iPhone 13 impossible. And it seems that this last company would be prioritizing shipments to another of its clients, LG Display, which is one of the largest screen manufacturers on the planet.

The result? You can imagine it, that it is possible that the availability of iPhone 1, iPhone 13 Pro, or iPhone 13 Pro Max is compromised. This does not necessarily mean that they are no longer available. But it is possible that in the coming months the delivery times for these models will be somewhat higher than normal, and you will have to wait a few weeks to be able to get hold of them. This is not an exclusive problem for Apple, since it affects all manufacturers, and not only with screens, but also with cameras. Hence, this year 80% of new mobiles have only 50 megapixel cameras, and no more resolution, precisely for that reason, due to scarcity.

A lack of stock of iPhone 13 that would occur mainly in those models that have with OLED panels on the screen, which are basically the most expensive models from Cupertino. It is not that Apple is going to run out of iPhone 13, but deliveries may occasionally be extended in some places.
