Apple will host a special media event in New York on October 13 under the banner “Welcome home,” where the company plans to unveil its first display-equipped smart home hub alongside a refreshed hardware lineup, Digital Daily reported.
Tribeca Showcase Targets Smart Ecosystem Expansion
The invite-only media event is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York. Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, signaled the upcoming showcase by posting a teaser video on social media platform X. The hardware drop focuses heavily on integrating Siri AI across domestic devices. Alongside the anticipated smart display hub, Apple will introduce the HomePod mini 2 and a new Apple TV 4K.
The hardware rollout extends beyond Apple-branded accessories. The company plans to showcase an interconnected third-party accessory ecosystem developed alongside partners such as LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. That curated lineup includes smart doorlocks, video doorbells, and connected thermostats designed to anchor the Apple Home architecture.
A Second October Showcase Focused on Computing Hardware
The mid-October smart home push represents only the first phase of Apple’s autumn hardware calendar. A second showcase is slated for approximately October 27, targeting high-performance computing and portable displays. That subsequent event will feature the company’s first touchscreen MacBook Pro, a new OLED iPad mini, and an iMac powered by M6 processors.
The aggressive back-to-back hardware release schedule arrives under the leadership of newly appointed Chief Executive Officer John Ternus. The multi-product blitz is designed to invigorate hardware momentum and offset softening performance within the company’s services sector.
