Today Apple opened pre-orders for Vision Pro.
As it became known from these specifications, the helmet can weigh from 600 to 650 grams, depending on the configuration. This is almost the same as the 12.9-inch iPad Pro weighs (682 grams).
However, the included battery weighs an additional 353 grams.
When compared with other helmets, the new product from Apple turned out to be heavier than its analogues: the weight of Meta Quest 3 (belongs to Meta, banned in Russia and recognized as extremist) is 515 grams, Quest 2 is 506 grams, and Pico 4 is 295 grams. However, Quest Pro and Valve Index are still considered the heaviest (722 grams and 810 grams, respectively).
