In yet another possible obstacle between the Apple and yours employeesnew reports released by AppleInsider indicate that the company is trying to control the communication between its retail collaborators in an internal platform, called Loop.
As pointed out by anonymous sources, complaints on the platform in question are now strictly moderated, allowing only “happy and positive thoughts”. O AppleInsider says he has looked for other contacts within Apple’s retail sector, and they all confirmed the situation.
At Loop, employees talked about how the program Today At Apple it had been “forgotten and careless”, the new impulse for employees to deal with multiple customers at the same time and other problems.
Now, according to one report, employees must agree to a new, more restrictive set of ground rules before accessing the Loop. Each post is vetted by moderators before being displayed in the tool, and it appears that anything more critical is being filtered out.
Some employees described the situation as a violation of free speech, indicating it was an effort by Apple to “keep them in line”. More than that, it seems that Apple wants to censor internal discussions about labor issues, something that the company itself has fought back in other circumstances.
As we know, Apple has been waging a silent war with its retail staff in many locations, especially those seeking to unionize — so many employees see such restrictions as a tactical move to suppress union organizing.
