LR Teschl-Hofmeister: 73 million euros in support paid to more than 353,000 households, around 20,000 applications are still being processed
St. Pölten (OTS) – The deadline for applying for the Lower Austria housing and heating subsidy ended on June 30th. Households in Lower Austria have been able to apply for the support since April 19. “The figures show that this quick and unbureaucratic support for our compatriots was right and important. In total, more than 353,000 households were relieved of the burden of rising housing and energy costs with 73 million euros,” says Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister, Social Affairs Minister. Around 20,000 applications received in the past few days will be processed in the next ten working days. “Many thanks to the employees of the state administration for the excellent work,” said Teschl-Hofmeister.
All those Lower Austrian households whose annual gross income does not exceed EUR 40,000 if a single person has their main residence at one address or EUR 100,000 if several people have their main residence at one address could receive the Lower Austria housing and heating subsidy. For the first person in the household there was 150 euros, for each additional person 50 euros more.
