Approved in second discussion the Bill for the Exercise of Public Function

During the ordinary session of the National Assembly, this Wednesday, the Bill for the Respect of Human Rights in the exercise of Public Function was approved in a second discussion.

The deputies present approved the 22 articles of the Law that develops specific aspects of articles 2 and 3 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (CRBV), referring to the obligation of the State to guarantee the human rights of officials in their exercise .

Its approval is in addition to compliance with the international legal system that regulates this matter and the content of article 25 of the CRBV.

The parliamentarians, who assure that it is a project that will allow the fight against corruption, bureaucracy, inefficiency and indolence, call on officials to fulfill their duty from the current legal framework and attached to the values ​​that must guide to every human being.

The president of the AN, Jorge Rodríguez, congratulated the deputies for approving this Law, since it preserves the Human Rights of Venezuelan men and women, and that it is mandatory for all civil servants and public officials, to comply with the strict respect of rights of citizens, without any distinction of race, creed, gender, political and ideological position.

Consequently, concluded the president of the AN, “the Reform Law for the Respect of Human Rights in the exercise of Public Function is sanctioned”
