Two years ago, Aqara and Sonos brought their products together to make them interact. This collaboration continues at the end of the year with the integration of several Sonos speakers and bars with the Aqara Home app and the possibility of creating automations with the home automation accessories.
The novelty seems to lie less in this partnership than in the availability of this function for European and American customers of these two companies.
Aqara gives some examples of possible synergies. Like starting the playback of a playlist when there is detection of the opening of the front door or the passage of someone in front of a sensor. Or to rely on face recognition performed by the G3 camera to launch content. The small Aqara Cube can also be used to control playback or sound level.
The Sonos hardware supported are One and One SL, Move, Roam and Roam SL, Five speakers as well as Beam 2 and Arc bars.
